Best Dentures in Las Vegas, Nevada

Your face muscles may sag after tooth loss, making you appear older.  In order to minimize changes to your look, dentures or implants will be fashioned to closely mimic your original teeth. Your smile may even look better if you wear dentures.

Your face and profile may look fuller if you wear dentures. You probably have some questions about dentures, whether you're thinking about obtaining them, already have them, or know someone who does. The information that follows will explain what dentures actually are, how to take care of them, and how they can enhance your oral health. We look forward to being able to answer all of your questions about dentures and, if necessary, determine whether dentures are the best option for you.

Dentures will naturally wear out over time and will need to be replaced or relined. As the bone and gum ridges decrease or retreat as a result of tooth extraction, the alignment will gradually change. Denture wearers still need to have regular dental exams so that the oral tissues can be inspected for illness or changes.

What Exactly is a Denture?

A denture, sometimes known as a complete denture, is an oral appliance that replaces natural teeth while also providing support for the cheeks and lips.

Different Types Of Acrylic Dentures

After all of the teeth have been pulled and the gums have healed, a traditional denture is constructed.
After the teeth are extracted and the tissues under the denture have healed, an immediate denture is created and implanted.

The palate is covered by acrylic, which is commonly flesh colored (roof of the mouth).
To accommodate the tongue, a lower denture is formed like a horseshoe.
Plastic, porcelain, or a combination of the two are used to create the teeth. Dentures can be made to fit over endodontically treated teeth, and a complete denture can be linked to dental implants for an even more secure fit.

Denture Maintenance

Dentures will wear out over time and will need to be changed or relined in order to maintain proper jaw alignment. As the bone and gum ridges recede or diminish owing to tooth extraction, the alignment will gradually shift. Denture wearers should still get regular dental examinations to check for disease or changes in their oral tissues.
